Delivery and verification are separate functions here. The person who inspects the work is never the person who carried it out, and the record carries both names. That is a separation between people, not an independent audit, and we do not describe it as one.
What this part of the line is doing.
A self-declared pass is not evidence. In a sector where the buyer cannot inspect the product after installation, who checked it matters as much as what they found.
Verification during delivery is also the least expensive moment to find a fault. Access is open, the trade is still on site, and correction costs a fraction of what it costs once the ceiling is back.
The failures are ordinary, and they repeat.
Set out plainly, because a client who knows what to look for is a better client to work for.
Inspection by the installer, recorded as a pass with no basis stated.
A sample rate nobody declared, so nobody can say what was not looked at.
Access not achieved and reported as satisfactory.
What we do differently.
Sampled inspection during the works, against the specification and the tested system, at a declared rate and against a declared basis. Defects are raised, corrected and re-checked, and the record carries the failure and the correction rather than only the outcome.
Reports are checked by somebody who was not on site, against the evidence rather than the conclusion, and a finding without supporting evidence is removed before issue. A report that finds nothing wrong is a legitimate and useful outcome, written with the same care as one that finds something.

Produced as part of the work and priced into the rate, not invoiced as a separate deliverable.
Inspection records and sample rates, every defect raised, how each was closed, who accepted the closure, and the extent of what was not accessible.
After practical completion.
Verification does not end at completion. Post-completion inspection reports against the original record, so the question is always what changed rather than what is there.
